Art & Design Dispatch: Bonhams' Los Angeles Presents a Special Two-Part Auction

When Thomas Dodd, an antique print dealer, joined forces with book specialist Walter Bonham in London in 1793, Bonhams (https://www.bonhams.com/) was born. Over the last two + centuries, Bonhams has expanded it reach and reputation for excellence as their teams of specialists and auctioneers hold more than 400 sales annually in 60 different categories from their flagship salerooms in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong. Not satisfied to rest on its legendary laurels, Bonhams has taken a visionary approach to connecting clients, collectors and antiquarians from around the world with outstanding fine art and antiques, motor cars and jewelry via their live auctions that are accessible to bidders online.

On May 28 (https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/25814/) and June 4 (https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/26460/), Bonhams Los Angeles is presenting a two-part Modern Art & Design Live "Behind-Closed-Doors" auction featuring pieces from an iconic Beverly Hills interior. Highlights include three works by street artist RETNA, a pair of Paul Evans' cityscape settees, Dale Chihuly's Clear and Gold Chandelier, Winged Figure Pointing by famed American sculptor Stephen de Staebler, William C.Morris' Canopic Jar (Giant Eland) and Bertil Vallien's Resting Head.
